The coronavirus pandemic, which has lasted more than 20 months, has had a major impact on our efforts against leprosy, with the figures for 2020 showing a drop of between 30% to 50% in new cases from country to country.
In this webinar, we invite representatives from the WHO Global Leprosy Programme, the Ministry of Health in Comors and the Ethiopian National Association of Persons Affected by Leprosy (ENAPAL) to learn more about current situation of leprosy and listen to their various activities. Mr. Sasakawa, WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Leprosy Elimination has stressed the importance of early detection and prompt treatment.
We open for the questions from the participants to be discussed during the Q&A session with him. Please provide your question through the registration form in advance in order to allow us efficient time management. We welcome your participation in the webinar!
