We are pleased to announce that an article by our President, Dr. Takahiro Nanri, has been published in Leprosy Review.
The article discusses the history and mission of the Sasakawa Health Foundation (SHF), founded in 1974 in Japan with the primary goal of eliminating leprosy. SHF’s approach is threefold: promoting early detection and treatment, combatting stigma and discrimination with a human rights focus, and preserving the history of leprosy, especially from the perspective of those personally affected by the disease.
