The University of Bergen, Norway and Sasakawa Leprosy (Hansen’s Disease) Initiative held an event in Bergen on Feb. 28, 2023, to mark the 150th anniversary of Dr. Gerhard Armauer Hansen’s discovery of the leprosy bacillus, M. leprae, in 1873.
