We are pleased to share a draft program for the 2nd Global Forum to be held on November 6th -8th, 2022 which has been put together by members of the Organizing Committee (please note that some details may undergo minor changes).
The objective for 2nd Global Forum is “strengthening and maximizing the roles and capacities of People’s Organizations to promote the dignity of persons affected by Hansen’s Disease”.
We would like to open call for applications for session speakers on Day 1 and Day 2 and side events on Day 3.
The deadline for both applications is October 4th, 2022, 15:00 JST.
The Organizing Committee will review the applications and choose the speakers.
We look forward to receiving applications from you!
Application for session speakers on Day 1 and Day 2
We are looking for a total of 6 speakers to share their organization’s good practice under three session themes of “Building on the capacity of the organization”, “Inclusion” and “Partnerships”. (i.e. 2 speakers for each session). For the speakers, Sasakawa Health Foundation will be covering the cost of travel, accommodation (check -in on Nov 5th, check-out on 10th), ILC registration and stipend for 6 days.
Please fill in the form from the link below if you are interested in applying. You may either apply for yourself or nominate someone else as a speaker.
Application for side events on Day 3
Since there is only a limited amount of time for sharing good practices on Day 1 and Day 2, we have decided to create an additional day of the Forum on November 8th (Day 3) where organizations can apply to host side events on themes of their choice (either physically or online).
Please note that we are envisioning a 90-minute slot per side event (60-minute presentation, 30-minute discussion and Q &A for instance) though a 60-minute slot may be negotiable if the demand is high.
Sasakawa Health Foundation may be able to consider covering the cost of participation (accommodation, travel fee etc.) for the duration of the Global Forum for those presenters of the side event whose cost of participation is not yet secured.
Please apply by filling in the form from the link below.
